Baby Blue Birds

This is the cuttest craft that Iv seen for Spring this year! i can't wait to try it with my daughters! I hope yall find it as adorable as I do! :0)

Baby Blue Birds

Here's what you'll need
• plastic egg (one half for each bird)
Construction paper
Paper plate
• Brown paint
Paint brush
• Scissors
• Glue

Here's how you make it...
1.
Paint your paper plate brown. If your plate has a waxy finish on it you may need to put on 2 coats of paint.

2. Now you will make your baby birds. Fold a small piece of orange construction paper, cut out a triangle on the fold, this will make the bird's beak.

3. From construction paper cut out two wings for each of your birds. Make a small fold at the bottom of each wing, this will give your a place to put the glue.

4. Glue your beak and wings onto your birds. Most plastic eggs have air holes on them, which will look great as your bird's eyes. If your eggs don't have air hole, you can draw some on with a permanent marker.

5. Put some glue on the bottom of your eggs and glue your birds into their nest.

6. Cut some brown strips of paper.

7. Glue the brown strips around the lip of the paper plate.

Easter Chick Card

This is so adorable!!! In the instructions it says that you have to print the printout templet but you don't have to if you don't want. All you need todo it get a orange piece of cardstock or construction paper, draw and cut 2 bird legs and a diamond shape. To make the beek eaven, cut a triange on the folded edge of a folded piece of the orange paper and unfold to see the diamond. then you already have the folded  crease! I hope everyone enjoys this cute lil Chick! :0)

If you would like to print the templets then Click Here

Chick Easter Card

What you'll need:

  • Print the Easter Chick Card sheet (PDF)
  • 2 sheets of yellow construction paper
  • 1 sheet of orange construction paper
  • 2 paper fasteners
  • 2 large wiggle eyes
  • White craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Black permanent marker or dark crayon

How to make it:

  1. Trace child's hands onto yellow construction paper and cut out.
  2. Use the oval pattern or draw an oval onto the other yellow piece of construction paper. Cut out.
  3. Lay the oval on the table and position the wings (hand cut outs) behind it, using the photo as a guide.
  4. When the wings are where you want them, carefully poke the fasteners through the construction paper to attach the wings. Using fasteners allows the wings to flap up and down.
  5. Using the pattern provided, cut out beak and legs from the orange construction paper.
  6. Fold the diamond in half to create the beak and glue one side of the diamond to the yellow paper so that the beak is three dimensional and can open and close.
  7. Glue wiggle eyes above the beak.
  8. Position the legs under the oval. When you have them where you want them, glue them in place.
  9. Use the marker or dark crayon to write a message on the front of the card.

Tips:

  • If you don't have wiggle eyes you can simply draw eyes on with a marker, or use black and white construction paper to create your own.
  • If you have it available, cardstock is much sturdier than construction paper and will resist tears better.
  • Before poking the fasteners through the body of the chick, use a sharp pencil to poke a hole through. Then insert the fastener.

(You don't have to use just Tulip 3D Paint. Any 3D paint will work, also you can try Fabric paint, it always gives a 3D look)
