Swirled Easter Eggs

Let kids make a mess with these swirled Easter egg designs. Applying and mixing the paint is the part that young crafters love best.

What you'll need:

  • Craft paints in pastel colors
  • Boiled eggs
  • Paper towel
  • Cooling rack or film canister lids
  • Wax paper
  • Tulip 3D Paint in various colors
  • Fine glitter, optional

How to make it:

  1. Dry off the eggs thoroughly before starting.
  2. Have paper towels handy in case of a spill.
  3. Tear off a piece of wax paper about the size of a piece of paper.
  4. Scrunch the wax paper, then open up.
  5. Squirt two different colors of paint on the wax paper.
  6. Scrunch the wax paper again to slightly mix colors.
  7. Hold the wax paper in one hand.
  8. Place an egg in the wax paper.
  9. Use your fingertips and pick up the egg out of the paint.
  10. Turn egg and place back on wax paper. If desired, you can just turn the egg around and around on the wax paper to coat.
  11. Repeat until all of egg is coated.
  12. Sprinkle with glitter, if desired.
  13. Let dry on cooling rack or use the lid from a film canister.
  14. Write recipient's name on the egg using the Tulip 3D Paint.

(You don't have to use just Tulip 3D Paint. Any 3D paint will work, also you can try Fabric paint, it always gives a 3D look)
